MIFA beat United Soccer 3-1 with the team playing really well for long periods of the match and dominating possession. All the goals came in the second half after a very close first, but it was the away team that took the lead. The United Soccer centre forward found space and turned in the box then cut the ball back for his strike partner to smash home from close range.
MIFA showed great character to get back into the match and reshuffled the team to do so. Tyler Shaw now on as right back delivered a pin perfect ball into the box for another substitute Ken Ilo to bring the game level 1-1. It was soon 2-1 MIFA when Gardikiotis intercepted the ball in the midfield area to release Jetmir who drove forward and slotted the ball into the far corner from 20 yards out.
The game was put to finish off after a neat corner from Jetmir was met by a towering header from Agudo to round off the scoring and make sure MIFA came away with a win.
Well done to both teams, and we look forward to playing United Soccer in the near future.
